FAQs

What will my usual shifts be?

Shifts can vary and will be a mix of early mornings (most sites require a 5:30am start) and evenings (finishing at approximately 10:30pm), depending on the site's needs. All staff will be expected to work weekends as well.

Will I be employed or self-employed?

You will be employed by Motive8 and paid an hourly wage, including holiday pay, NI and pension contribution. You can also earn additional income through Personal Training, as well as teaching classes or leading gym inductions at some of our unmanned sites. These are all paid at an increased hourly rate.

Will I be able to progress within the company?

Motive8 pride themselves on supporting and helping employees progress, and there are a variety of options within the company. Firstly, you can develop and grow your PT business. Secondly, you can look to progress in gym & spa management, moving from Duty Manager to Site Manager and then up to Area Manager. Thirdly, we have several departments within Motive8 if you decide you'd like to move into a different area of leisure management (for example, maintenance or gym design).
